As a serial entepreneur, Larry has been immersed in the creation and sale of electronic health records and care delivery systems since 2008. Larry relied on those experiences to design Intersect's point of care system, built on the FHIR data platform.
Larry holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he also attended undergraduate school.
Dr. Thomas is a practicing physician at Northshore University Health System in Evanston, Illinois with Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Thomas earned her MD credential at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Her Internship and Residency were at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. For several consecutive years, he has been named to a list of "Chicago's Top Doctors."
Dr. Gibson completed her PhD training at Duke University and will complete her MD training there in 2024. During her Ph.D. and medical school training, Dr. Gibson has made numerous contributions to science and recived a number of honors including a Duke School of Medicine Precision Genomics Graduate Student Research Grant. Dr. Gibson earned a B.A. degree from Columbia University in Environmental Biology in 2014.
Dr. Abar is a healthcare AI researcher with a history of high honors during his MD/Ph.D. program at Duke University. He was awarded with the Ph.D in March 2023. He will complete his MD program in June 2024. Also at Duke he earned a MHS in June of 2022. He was awarded a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University with General and Department Honors. In 2023 he received a Dean's award for Excellence in Mentoring. His contributions to science are numerous and reflect his interest in the intersection of medicine and engineering.
Armaan is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of California at Berkley where he is majoring in data science . He is in an intern position at Intersect working on AI modeling. He held a previous internship at Genetica where he worked with Dr. Abar on an AI modeling project for an Austrailian healthcare system.
Monish is an accomplished software engineer with substantial experience in the creation of complex systems. He has over 15 years experience with a significant amount of healthcare application development. He has been a major contributor to Intersect's point of care application and is a highly valued team member. Monish holds a Master of Computer Applications degree.
Mahood is an accomplished network and security engineer with expertise and certifications in a wide range of solutions. He is an invaluable team member and responsible for keeping us connected and safe and our development systems up and running.
Hardik is a highly experienced front-end developer and an expert with Angular. He is a major contributor to the creation of the user interface of our point of care application and a valuable team member.
Karl has served as the Director of UF Innovate | Accelerate at the Hub and at Sid Martin Biotech, both business incubation initiatives of the University of Florida in Gainesville, since his appointment in 2021. Previously he held a similar position in a Fort Wayne, IN business incubator. Before that, he was the President and CEO of an advanced biometric identification company and served as a board member for BioPoly LLC in Ft Wayne, Indiana and Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana for over 18 years.
r. Masood is a practicing physician at Northwestern Medicine with Board Certifications from the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.She is also a member ofThe Osher Center for Integrative Health at Northwestern University which aims to provide innovative patient care, education and research in the field of integrative medicine. Dr. Masood holds the title of Vice Chief of Medicine.
Farhad is a computer scientist with over 30 years of experience in research computing and was involved in designing and implementing the world’s first distributed computing farm. During his career, Farhad has been instrumental in creating three highly successful analytical software start-up companies.Farhad expertise's lies in his deep technical expertise around big data technologies, machine learning, and AI application development.
