The Intersect EHR was designed by a team of physicians and healthcare executives. Importantly, they were experienced EHR users who knew exactly what they wanted. They wanted the information they needed to be available without searching. They didn't want their screens to be cluttered with information that wasn't relevant to their practices, and they wanted it arranged so as to optimize their use of time. Also, they wanted the ability to achieve those goals without requiring support from their IT department.
