Six Solutions. One Platform. All Built.

A few months ago this website didn’t exist. Today it tells a story I’m genuinely proud of. Intersect on FHIR™ now has six clinical solution areas live — each one reflecting something we’ve actually built, not something we’re planning to build.

Building a precision medicine platform from the ground up is a different kind of challenge than most software projects. The standards are still being written. The clinical workflows are complex and institution-specific. The data is sensitive, the stakes are high, and the buyers are sophisticated. You can’t fake your way through a conversation with a Chief Medical Information Officer.

So we built it right. FHIR R6 native, HL7 CodeX aligned, with every clinical capability grounded in real standards and real clinical evidence. Here’s where we stand today.

Six Clinical Solutions — All Operational

❤️

Cardiovascular

Hereditary cardiovascular genomics — familial hypercholesterolemia, cardiac arrhythmia, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy — combined with continuous remote vital sign monitoring and integrated telehealth. Bringing the cardiologist to patients who live hours from the nearest specialist.

🧬

Oncology — Molecular Tumor Board Live

The one I’m most excited about. We match genomic variants to individual FDA-approved agents — erlotinib, gefitinib, osimertinib — not just to drug classes. That distinction matters clinically. Five hereditary cancer panels are operational, CIViC variant annotation is integrated, and the full tumor board workflow runs end-to-end in FHIR R6.

💊

Pain Management

Real-time MME calculation across all prescribers, CDC 2022-aligned CDS alerts at the point of prescribing, benzodiazepine interaction detection, and naloxone co-prescribing recommendations. The kind of infrastructure every hospital needs and most don’t have in a structured, FHIR-native form.

🧪

Pharmacogenomics

The most underappreciated capability on the platform. Pharmacogenomics is the only genomic discipline that touches every specialty simultaneously — the same CYP2D6 result matters to the oncologist, the cardiologist, the psychiatrist, and the primary care physician. We surface it to all of them at the point of prescribing. One test. Every prescriber. Every encounter.

📈

Chronic Disease Management

Continuous monitoring and care coordination for diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and complex comorbid patients — with automated alerts, telehealth integration, and a hub-and-spoke delivery model designed for the communities that need it most.

🎯

Maternal Health

Remote maternal monitoring for blood pressure, weight, and symptom burden — with telehealth OB visits and care coordination designed for high-risk pregnancies in rural and underserved communities where maternal mortality rates are highest.

What Makes This Different

Every solution above runs on the same FHIR R6-native platform — sharing patient records, genomic data, remote monitoring infrastructure, and telehealth capabilities across the full care team. A patient’s pharmacogenomic panel, ordered by their oncologist, is immediately visible to their cardiologist when they prescribe a statin. Their MME calculation, updated when any prescriber adds an opioid, fires an alert to every clinician in the record.

“Interoperability is not a feature. It is the architecture. We built Intersect on FHIR™ from the inside out on HL7 FHIR R6 and CodeX mCODE standards — because the only way to deliver seamless, real-time interoperability is to make it foundational, not an afterthought.”

We are based at the University of Florida Innovation Hub and hold invited Developer/Implementer membership in HL7 CodeX, with active participation in the GenomicX Molecular Tumor Board and Pathogen Genomics workgroups. We are building to the standards as they are written — and in several cases, we are ahead of where the standards currently are.

Who We Are Looking For

We are actively seeking clinical validation partners — academic medical centers, genomics-forward health systems, and Critical Access Hospitals that want to extend specialty care to underserved communities. Each solution area represents a real co-development opportunity with shared outcomes data and publication potential.

If any of this resonates with what your organization is working on, I’d welcome a conversation.
